GO PRO!
Imagine a job where you look forward to heading off to work in the morning. Lead a life that others fantasize about, the adventure of a lifetime; teaching people how to dive and learn to do so in the warm spectacular waters of the Cayman Islands.
The goals of the Sunset Diver's IDC are simple! · To ensure that candidates pass the Instructor Exam (IE) that immediately follows. · To create great instructors that has the skills and confidence to create better divers in the future. · To give candidates the background in the business of diving, so that one understands the relationship between resorts, retail and travel. · We want to have some fun!
Welcome

We have been putting the final touches on her and she is ready to go. We'll do a shakedown trip then bring her round to the west side. As you can see from the picture she'll provide more cover for the guests and we plan to keep the max number on her to 12.

Future Guests and Alumni Flock to Sunset House Booths at Trade Shows
Huge crowds gathered around the Sunset House booth in Chicago and Secaucus this past couple of months!
The show in Chicago was one of the busiest shows the Windy City has seen in a long time. It seems that travel is back on everyone's mind again and Sunset House is one of the destinations dive enthusiasts are making plans for!
Folks like Steve and Anita Carton, plus hordes of others stopped by to see Sunset House staff and share stories and photos and to book future trips later this year.
(Mike along with guests Doug, Troy, Mary, Vicky and Jean.)
Sunset House has a couple more shows this year... Long Beach, CA June 24 and 25th and in West Palm Beach, FL the first weekend of December.
We look forward to seeing all of you there!!!

(Each month, this section will feature one of many amazing staff members at Sunset House! Their stories and backgrounds are all unique and intriguing as the next!)
Pete started diving when he was 8 yrs old since then he has dived all over the world. Highlights include working in Cyprus for 2 years and Cayos Cochinos in Honduras on a conservation project. The pinnacle of Pete's career to date must be working in the U.K. at Blackpool Area Divers which can only be described as the Eilat of England!
Pete also has a passion for the slopes and has even done a season as a chalet maid in St Anton, Austria . When he wasn't cleaning or cooking delicious 'winter warmers' for his guests he was out on his snowboard. ...read more!

(In this section every month, Dive Operations Manager Mike Pinnington will keep us up to date with Sunset Divers adventures.)
It's hard to believe were half way through March. The resort is pretty busy and has been since Christmas. Meghan is doing plenty of teaching and will probably pull in one of the other guys to help her out. Our resident dive community is ever expanding which is great and were seeing all ages coming through the school. Having all the amenities on site is a real bonus and enables us to schedule courses pretty much at any time of the day or night... read more.......

Last week I enjoyed a really magnificent setting with unusually fine people working to make an unforgettable four days of diving and living. Sunset House is doing everything right as far as I can see as a guest. Your staff of diving professionals were so smooth in their day to day performance that I felt like a valued family member being treated to their best hospitality. Because a "former life health incident" left me with a little less lung capacity, I am invariably the first diver back on the boat, and Freddy in particular, was always ready to accompany me back to the boat so my long winded brother-in-law could enjoy some more bottom time. Much adulation to Megan, Rob, and Pete also for a job very well done. And Megan....keep up the good art work! Rob does such a wonderful job in dive briefings that I felt well informed about what to watch for. I enjoyed immensely the after dive socialization at "My Bar" with Pete and Freddy, and felt I learned much about the island and lifestyle. The dive sites are all very lovely to behold, and I even got some good pictures.
Thank you all so much. Please give my e-mail address to Freddy and ask him to contact me. I don't want to forget the Sunset House hospitality staff either. They did a wonderful job assisting us in a great vacation. I look forward to a return visit some day.
Sincerely,
Ken Maddox
