Mike Sutton-Brown

Sunset Divers Captain / Instructor

Another Mike- just to confuse you…

Mike Sutton-Brown grew up with our very own Pete Foster-Smith. Together they learned to dive in the crystal clear quarries of Lancashire and the temperate waters of Oban, Scotland.

Mike has been on quite a journey reaching his current destination last October.

In Blackpool, Mike and Pete were involved in Underwater Helicopter Evacuation Training. Mike was a successful drug dealer for a pharmacy company renowned for its "purple pill” and was actively involved in initial research studies. Later working on a contractual basis for HM Government and a spell in the Foreign Legion, Mike saw a variety of situations he prefers not to discuss! With a couple of seasons working the Cyprus/Malta circuit, Mike reunited with Pete, here at Sunset Divers.

He has 2 sisters Emma and Laura, both celebrated glamour models. Mike is our technical guru having trained extensively at the famed resort town of Fleetwood (recognized internationally as the racing pigeon capital of the world.)

You’ll instantly recognize Mike as the strong, silent type; don’t let this icy exterior fool you. Mike loves opera, hang gliding, creative cookery: a black belt in tai-kwon-do and an avid artist. Silent, deadly and one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet. Mike boasts being one of the 2 people in the world who support Blackburn Rovers. On his day off Mike goes diving and bakes.
