Sunset House's Chris Briggs (Adrien and Bonnie's "youngest") caught a 4 foot crocodile close to Harbour House Marina on Sunday!

Members of the Department of Environment and Royal Cayman Islands Police, who responded to the scene, were met by a crowd of spectators cuing up to catch a glimpse of the catch.

DOE Acting Chief Enforcement Officer Mark Orr said the reptile appeared to be several months old and could have either been brought here, drifted on a log or actually born in these waters.

It has been a great 50th Anniversary year, here at the resort and sorry to say, it is quickly winding down! Can anyone really believe it will be officially Fall tomorrow?

With time running out on 2009, we want everyone to have the chance to come down and visit this year. That is why from NOW until December 21, not only will you get our Anniversary Special, but you will get your 4th Night FREE and 33% off your dive! That is right! A special, "special"!!!

You must call Kim (By the way, give Kim Pisano a big welcome, the newest member of the Sunset House staff) in reservations at (800) 854-4767 or for the folks not in North America (345) 949-7111 or email her at reservations@sunsethouse.com.

Come join the Briggs Family and celebrate 50 years of family hospitality! A special like this does not come around often!

We also want to announce the leaving of our commander and chief of Sunset Divers, Mike Pinnington. Mike last day is today (party tonight at My Bar) and then moves on to a company that manages hovercrafts on the Caspian Sea. Mike took a job with a company called Caspian Mainport. After a few months training in Ireland, he will be going to Kazakhstan or, he may be going to Turkmenistan. Now, we finally have a contact for good caviar! Bravo Zulu Mr. Pinnington... You will be missed! (if you want to send Mike an email, drop him a line at mike.pinnington@caspianmainport.com

And of course, as the second message that went out to the FaceBook Group "Friend of Sunset House" said yesterday, our very own Mike Brown will be taking over the helm here at Sunset Divers. (We encourage you to join our group!)

We look forward to seeing everyone soon... Pirates week is coming up!

Everyone have safe journeys for the rest of the year! See you soon!
