A whole lot of guests, resort staff and Sunset Fans were on hand to cheer the Sunset Divers Team on to Win the 2009 Christmas Parade of Lights sponsored by Cayman 27... With a rather large trophy, a CI$2000 check, the crew led by Jaxx and Andy have something to be proud of...

Congratulations to Andrew Smiley and Stay Focused

Nineteen year old Cayman Islands Special Olympian Andrew Smiley had such a great time with a Discover Scuba earlier this summer; he decided he was comfortable enough to try it again, this time, in the sea!
Sunset Divers’ Jackie Kienas is an active participant in “Stay Focused”, a nonprofit organization, founded by native New Yorker Roger Muller. Stay-Focused is a scuba diving program for teens and young adults with disabilities that builds confidence and teaches valuable lessons on overcoming challenges.

Stay Focused, along with the Sunshine Adult Training specialist Mery Fortney, also gives Andrew and other local Caymanians, the chance to work with dedicated instructors, like Jackie, to experience the beauty of the sea.

Kudos to Cayman Islands Emergency Communications

Two members of the Cayman Islands Emergency Communications (Police, Fire & EMS) recently completed their PADI Emergency First Response Course with Sunset Divers. Well done to Kikko Miller & Candice Forbes for completing sections in CPR First & Secondary Care, Caring for Children and AED.

Parade of Lights

Sunset House and Sunset Divers will be attending the Parade of Lights this year at Caymana Bay.

It will be held on the crescent at Caymana Bay on Saturday, December 12th at 7pm.

All boats will be decorated and Sunset will be entering one of it's Michael Fitz V-Hulls with a hope to win 'Best Original Dive Boat'.
