PADI Diving Society invites you to take part in…

One of the questions we get asked a lot is, "What's it like to go to a PADI Diving Society event?" Though the true spirit of a Society event can never be captured in words, we'll attempt to give you a run-down of the fun and adventure that is the Total Submersion Dive Festival.

DAY ONE: From all across the country, the Total Submersion group begins to arrive at Grand Cayman airport. Weary travelers grow giant grins as they step off the plane and are greeted by a tropical breeze and friendly faces from PADI. Back at Sunset House, everyone receives a bag of goodies and gets settled in to life on the island. Some of the more avid divers grab a tank and jump right in for their first dive of the week.

DAY TWO: After a tasty made-to-order breakfast, everyone gathers for a short orientation. Don't worry, we keep it brief, because after the orientation it's time to go diving! That evening everyone gathers for a welcome party at My Bar where the magic of a Society event goes into full swing. Where 24 hours earlier we were a group of strangers, everyone quickly becomes friends.

DAY THREE – SIX: Each morning everyone has the option to take in a two-tank boat dive at some of Grand Cayman's most beautiful dive sites. The underwater population includes stingrays, grouper, angel fish, tangs, jacks, turtles, eels, the occasional tarpon, beautiful soft corals and more. After the morning dives, most divers enjoy lunch at My Bar or the Sea Harvest restaurant. Last year's cuisine included top-notch salads, burgers, curry, pasta, fresh seafood, and much more. The rest of the day is spent shore diving, relaxing poolside, or socializing with other guests.

DAY SEVEN: On the last day, many people choose to take an optional day trip to Stingray City and/or rent a car and take a tour of the island. That night we award the photo scavenger hunt winners, crown the poker run champs, and blow out a giant box full of prizes from our sponsors. Phone numbers and emails are exchanged as the group celebrates a great week of fun and diving.
